It’s been 10 years and we’d like to think we’re now pretty good at burgers and chips. It’s been a bit of a blur, a lot of hard work, but that’s been half the fun. Good enough just isn’t good enough here. We don’t mean to brag but we’re all about top quality beef, the best potatoes and good times. Don’t just take our word for it though, we’ll let our food and people do the talking. After all, we’re Just Being Honest…
Just being honest
We make our burgers from scratch in our own butchery every single day. Our burgers are chopped instead of minced, so they eat more like a steak and retain maximum flavour. Its not the easiest, but we know it’s the best way. A great burger starts with great beef – all our beef comes from Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Thanks to the standards in our butchery we are one of the few places in the country that is accredited to serve pink burgers, served medium pink as standard but you can enjoy them however you like. Always homemade, always with chips. Just great burgers. Made by us.
We could just use frozen chips, but that wouldn’t be Honest. Our chips are always fresh, and they come with every burger as standard – because who’s having a burger without chips. It’s been that way since our first restaurant in Brixton opened its doors, simply because we wanted everyone to try our homemade rosemary salted chips.
Just great chips. Made by us.
We haven’t always got things right. The early days were hard work, but one-day food critic Jay Rayner described our chips as “edible crystal meth”. Since then people keep telling us our burgers are some of the best they’ve ever tasted.
