It’s been 11 years now and we like to think we’ve gotten pretty good at burgers and chips. We’re all about top quality beef, the best potatoes and good times. Don’t just take our word for it though, we’ll let our food and people do the talking. After all, we’re Just Being Honest…
Homemade is best. We work with British, grass-fed beef prepared in our own butchery and potatoes grown just-for-us in Sussex. Our chips, fritters, relish, sauces and pickles are all made by hand, by us.
We knew that with great British produce, we could make the best burgers we’d tasted – anywhere. We use British cheese, British veg and British relish. We’re homegrown and homemade – we always have been and we always will be.
Over five delicious days we discovered Singapore's rich food culture, which is influenced by recipes from all over from South East Asia. The result is culinary diversity like no other, and uniquely Singaporean delights like Chilli Crab, Chicken Rice and Cereal Prawns.
We thank our hosts Visit Singapore and the many great people who fed and watered us. Paul at KEK Seafood; John at Brewlander; SM Pang at New Ubin Seafood; Kevin & Casey at Off Day Beer Co; Sly at Smith Street Taps... We had an incredible time.
Our SINGAPORE special is not something you will find in any restaurants or hawker centres over there. This is our interpretation of the ultimate Singaporean burger: Honest style. – Adam
A fresh and hoppy beer can quickly go off during the long journey from Singapore to the UK. So we invited Off Day Beer Company over to the UK to create a Singapore-inspired collab with our mates Northern Monk in Leeds. We'll let brewers Casey Choo (OD) and Brian Dickson (NM) take it from here...
Casey: "There are few things more refreshing than a cold lager-style Kölsch and the added citrus and floral flavours from the hops create something perfectly aligned with the cereal chicken burger."
Brian: “It is typical to order a lime juice at a hawker to wash down a rich, delicious dish and we wanted to emulate that in our beer, as well as producing something that would be refreshing in Singapore’s tropical climate."
Visit Singapore has partnered with Flight Centre to give you the chance to follow in our food team's footsteps and enjoy a free five night trip to Singapore including travel, accommodation, breakfast and a food walking tour. If your passion is food, this is the trip of a lifetime.
